Mother & Daughter Expedition

I had the privilege of trekking through Morocco’s breathtaking High Atlas Mountains with a group of inspiring women and young women all of them mothers and daughters, united in support of the Murray Parish Trust and its vital work in pediatric healthcare.

Our journey took us deep into remote Berber villages, where we stayed in traditional local gîtes, experienced the warmth of Moroccan hospitality, and shared simple, joyful moments. We visited a bustling local market, selecting fresh ingredients to cook our meals for the week a true cultural immersion. One afternoon, we even ventured to a village hammam, where we relaxed, laughed, and embraced a beautiful part of local life.

The trek itself was both challenging and deeply rewarding. We hiked in conditions that ranged from scorching 31°C sunshine to unexpected hailstorms and rain all while carrying only essentials, with our supplies transported by mules. Through every step, we supported one another, proving the strength, resilience, and spirit that emerges when women lift each other up.

This wasn’t just a trek it was a life-changing experience filled with connection, purpose, and adventure.

If you're looking for something truly meaningful a journey that will challenge you, inspire you, and connect you with an extraordinary community of women, I wholeheartedly encourage you to join the next expedition in May 2026.

Whether you come with your daughter, a friend, or solo, you’ll leave with memories that last a lifetime and the knowledge that you’ve made a real difference.
